Beauty is Fragile
I think that beauty is fragile. The most beautiful thing in life is the love you have for special people, but sometimes you lose the people you love, so love and beauty are fragile.

The song I chose for my dance is "Fragile" by Sting. Sting wrote this song in memory of a friend who died in the 9-11 terrorist attack. I first heard this song on a CD my mom plays in her car. The CD was given at the funeral of a PTA mom from our school who died of cancer a few years ago, and had all of her favorite songs. Her name was Shannon and she had two little boys who loved her very much.

In this dance I tried to express how fragile and beautiful life is and I tried to show that love is both happy and sad. Love and life are beautiful, but that beauty is fragile.

I decided to perform my dance in this beautiful memorial garden because I thought that it was a very appropriate settting. I hope you enjoy it!
